Parent Reporting Evenings

Parent Reporting Evenings provide opportunities to meet teachers and discuss student academic progress. Two of these evenings are held in Term 1 so that issues can be dealt with early in the College year.

First evening - for students in Years 10, 11 and 12

Second evening - for students in Years 7, 8 and 9.

Parent Information Evenings

Communication with our parents and prospective parents is very important to us at John Forrest Secondary College. Parent Evenings form a vital part of communicating with our current parents.

Information Night for Prospective Parents

At this information session a range of topics are covered including special features of the College expectations regarding attendance and behavior, the College curriculum, student pastoral care and support, special programs and learning technologies.

Year 10 Information Night

This session is held early in the year. The focus is on explaining the WACE (WA Certificate of Education) and describing the expectations and requirements of students in ensuring they are adequately prepared for life as a student in Year 11 or 12.

Year 10 Course Counselling Evening

At this session the WACE is explained in more detail, along with the Senior School course selection process. This evening is a precursor to individual counselling sessions that will be held with students and their families to finalise subject selections for the following year.
