Upcoming Events

Parent Reporting Evenings provide opportunities to meet teachers and discuss student academic progress. One of these evenings is to be held in Term 1 so that issues can be dealt with early in the College year.

Year 4, 5, 6 Parents Information Evening – Tuesday, 26 March 2019, 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start in the College Gymnasium.

At this information session a range of topics are covered including special features of the College expectations regarding attendance and behaviour, the College curriculum, student pastoral care and support, special programs and learning technologies.

Whole School Parent Evening – Wednesday, 3 April 2019, 3.20pm – 6.30pm, in the College Gymnasium.

  Parents will be notified when appointments for this evening can be booked online.

  Year 10 Parent Information Evening – Tuesday 2 July 2019, 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start in the College Library.

At this session the WACE is explained in more detail, along with the Senior School course selection process. This evening is a precursor to individual counselling sessions that will be held with students and their families to finalise subject selections for the following year.  Parents/carers will be notified of details of our information and counselling evenings through our website, Facebook page, newsletter and by email.

Jazz at The Ellington - the College Ensemble students will be performing at The Ellington Jazz Club on Monday 8 April 2019 to showcase their skills and promote the College Specialist Music Program.   Tickets for the event can be purchased from here.

Year 12 Student Visitors from Japan

Monday 25 March 2019.  Students will demonstrate how to give a guided tour to clients with little English, Japanese culture and greetings.  For clothing and other items required, please see permission slip available here.

Year 12 Guildford and Swan Valley Tour 2019

Thursday 28 March 2019.  Students will consult with local tourism operators from the Swan Valley Region to be able to complete the Tourism Project from the Certificate course. Students will demonstrate their Tour Guiding competency in historical Guildford and Bus Tour Guide skills on the Food Trail.  Depart College 9.00am, return to College 2.45pm.  For clothing and other items required, please see permission slip available here.

Year 10 Science and Engineering Challenge

Tuesday 2 April 2019.  Student will participate in a STEM Challenge against other schools from across the state.  Venue: Claremont Showgrounds.  Depart College 8.30am, return to College 3.15pm. For clothing and other items required, please see permission slip and media consent form available here.

Year 11 Yagan Square and Perth Visitor Centre Tour

Tuesday 2 April 2019.  Students Visit Yagan Square for a Go Cultural: Aboriginal Tours and Experiences tour, including Aboriginal culture and history and current sustainability practices. Students visit the West Australian Visitor Information Centre and the i-City Visitor Centre for industry talks about sources of tourism information as well as London Court for commercial sources of information. For clothing and other items required, please see permission slip and media consent form available here.

Year 11 RAC BStreetSmart Presentation

Thursday 4 April 2019.  Year 11 students will attend this presentation as an extension to their Keys 4 Life Program.  Venue: RAC Arena. Depart College 9.00am, return to College 3.00pm.  For clothing and other items required, please see permission slip available here.

Year 8 - 12 Jazz at The Ellington

Year 7-10 Talented Young Writers Program

Various dates through March to October 2019.   Students will develop writing skills through workshops and contact with published writers.  Venue: Literature Centre, Fremantle.   For workshop schedule and permission slip please click here.

   

Camps/Tours

Music Camp

Friday 3 to Sunday 5 May 2019.  Music students will be participating in rehearsals during this time with a brief concert at the end of the camp.  Venue: Ern Halliday Recreation Camp.  Depart College 3 May (9am), return to College 5 May (4pm).  For clothing and other items required, please see permission slip available here.
