Extra-Curricular Activities
BUSH RANGER CADETS
Bush Rangers WA is a youth-based conservation and community development program. It supports young Western Australians to take an active role in the conservation of the natural environment and better understand the mechanisms for its management. The program offers opportunities to undertake personal development while developing conservation skills and knowledge through involvement in practical nature conservation projects. Projects can be school-based, within the local community, and others can take cadets to some amazing locations and landscapes across the state! Bush Rangers WA encourages young people to take action for positive change!
If you're interested in joining Bush Rangers at JFSC see the team at Student Services.

SUSTAINABILITY CLUB
If you are passionate about the environment, want to help make the college more sustainable, or simply learn more about what you can do as an individual to help the planet, the Sustainability Club is for you! This is a space to express concerns, discuss solutions, and then act on them! Our goal for this year is being 'waste wise'. Initiatives we are involved in include the recycling station in the library, classroom energy-use audits, initiating soft-plastics recycling, reducing laminating and a booth at the Sustainability Fair! Future projects involve decreasing waste related to the canteen and re-engaging with compost and green waste. Our projects are student-led to develop agency, leadership, and active citizenship.
