MPA Skills Pre-Apprenticeship Programs

Year 11 students from John Forrest Secondary College have been attending the Trade Training Centre each Friday working towards completing a pre-apprenticeship qualification; Certificate II in Plumbing or Certificate II in Building and Construction (Pathway Trades). The students have been participating in the theory aspect of the qualifications and get the opportunity to improve their practical skills under the guidance of qualified trade persons. So far, the students have acquired the skills to successfully use a variety of equipment, including Metal Arc Welders, Electronic Levelling Systems and Scaffolding Systems and painting and decorating tools. Successful completion of the course will give the students a qualification and the right skills to be employed as an apprentice in their chosen field.
