Volunteering at JFSC
We are proud of our College and our Students and we open our doors to all parents, careers, family and local community members who wish to be involved in the student's progression through secondary school. When parents and community members are involved within their school community the opportunities grow, not only for their own children, but all students. We encourage you to join in and be an active member of our College community.
Volunteers at John Forrest Secondary College participate in a variety of capacities. They involve themselves in our P&C, cafe, breakfast club and classrooms. They are an integral part of our College community and their contributions are highly appreciated.

Assist on Wednesday mornings serving students something to eat. Students are able to eat, relax and mix with their friends; creating a positive atmosphere in the College before school. The Breakfast Club is always busy with many students enjoying the pancakes, fruit, toast, scrambled eggs, yoghurts, cereals, tin fruits, milo and orange juice. More information available from Trevor Sykes, Chaplain on 9473 4007.
SCHOOL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Some students benefit from some mentoring or need a little extra help to keep up with their class work. The volunteer mentors assist students in school on a one-on-one basis by encouraging and guiding them to achieve their full potential.
- You will be supported in your mentoring role.
- Be rewarded by making a difference – our volunteer mentors are dedicated men and women, reaching across generations, helping to meet students' individual learning needs.
- Our volunteers usually help with literacy and numeracy tasks.
- More information available from the College on 9473 4000.
To register your interest in one of more of the above programs please complete the College Volunteer Program available from here and return to the JFSC Front Office.
