Library
The College library is an important hub for students and staff. Its goal is to support all teaching and learning programs and to ensure the information needs of students are met.
Libraries maintain an in-depth knowledge of literature and improvement of student literacy. The library touches the learning experience of every student in the college. It provides a large range of both traditional and modern research tools, resources and references that can be used for research, study or leisure activities. We provide a wide range of research tools both in physical and digital form including a growing eBook collection, online encyclopedia, non-fiction books and reference materials.
Colourful seating areas throughout the library create a bright and friendly environment conducive to learning and within which we also strongly encourage students to read for pleasure from the large selection of fiction books, magazines, picture books and graphic novels.
New and replacement SmartRider cards can be ordered through the Library and these are essential for library borrowing.
The Library has two large areas with limited computer access and one smaller area available for classroom bookings, plus a separate Library Seminar Room which holds 32 computers.
The library is open from 8.00am to 4.00pm each day (except Recess) and students are welcome before school, at lunch time and after school to read or study. A photocopier/printer is also available for student use.
While in the Library students are expected to behave accordingly, as per school rules and respect the rights of others, particularly students who may be studying.
