Year 9/10 Netball Camp 2021
During Week 8 thirty one Year 9 and 10 Netball Specialist students travelled down to Busselton for their annual end-of-year camp.
Students played against Atwell, Willetton and Newton Moore in competitive match play. The games were played in hot and dry conditions, however the girls persisted and played some great Netball and made some new friends from the other schools.
In the time between games students participated in a variety of activities, including surfing and kayaking, mini golf, high ropes adventure course and Ngilgi cave tour. They also met up with the Tennis Specialist Program students for a night walk along the beautiful coastline of Geographe Bay.
Special thanks to the teachers who organised and ran the camp. The girls enjoyed their time down south and the new memories they made with each other on camp.
My favourite part about the camp was learning new skills during high ropes. Being up in the trees gave me an adrenaline rush and being able to zip line through the trees was something I have never experienced before. I enjoyed creating memories with the people around me.
Jorja, Year 9
My favourite part of camp was the Kayaking because when you are on the water you feel really relaxed and free and it was a lovely day to cruise down the river. I have also never played mini-golf so it was great to experience that with my
friends and the location of camp was amazing being right on the beach.
Tahlia – Year 9
On Wednesday we went surfing at Prevelley beach. I enjoyed this because it taught me new skills and gave me a better experience in the water. My confidence grew as I learnt how to surf and how the ocean behaves. This was also a great activity for my physical fitness. Overall the week was great with my friends and teachers.
