Meiji University High School Inbound Visit
Twelve Japanese high school students from Tokyo spent five days during weeks 8 and 9 Term 1 at JFSC enjoying our exchange program activities. During their stay they experienced Australian life through homestay with Australian families, participating in some of their buddy’s classes, mixing with students during break times, interacting in bilingual exchange lessons and participating in Australian culture lessons. Meiji students cooked ANZAC biscuits and damper, created Indigenous art, learned the rules of Australian rules football and practiced their footy skills.
When asked what they enjoyed most about their visit, responses included: Self Introduction time with my buddy; Playing basketball with many students; Cooking; Making friends at lunch time; Australian football; Talking with my buddy and friends; Music lessons; Dancing.
Thank you to all students and staff for helping our visitors enjoy their stay so much. They all had a great time, learned a lot, made friends, and want to visit again.
