Year 8 Medieval History Museum
Our Year 8 Medieval History Museum was a huge success, with students showcasing incredible creativity and knowledge through their impressive displays.
The Medieval Period is commonly referred to as the 'Dark Ages', and it has been called this because the period saw relatively little scientific and cultural advancement. However, historians continue to debate whether the Middle Ages were indeed 'dark' or not.
In this task, the students designed a museum display that supports either side of this argument. They were required to argue whether their chosen Medieval object was a catalyst for change, revolutionising the future, or if it represented a backward step in time. This was written up in class, and models were set up in the Medieval Museum display.
The models that the students have created were set out for display for their peers and teachers to view, with many agreeing that the models were made with quality and that the students have dedicated their creativity and effort into the project.
