2026 On Country Trip

JFSC are excited to officially launch the Raw Impact On Country 2026 - Trip to Bethel Farm in Dalby, QLD! This unique experience offers our students an incredible opportunity to connect with the land, learn about Indigenous culture, and develop a deeper understanding of our shared heritage.

To give you a glimpse of what to expect, we invite you to watch the video of the On Country 2023 trip that our Year 9 & 10 students participated in here or the 2024 trip here (both on YouTube).  It is an excellent opportunity for students to gain confidence, build new skills and develop deeper friendships in a safe environment.

The details for 2026 are:

Trip Dates:

Sunday 6 - Friday 11 September, 2026

Basic Itinerary:

Sunday 6 September - Fly Perth->Bris - vans to Toowoomba. Overnight in Toowoomba at RAW Office

Monday 7 September - travel to Bethel Farm, Dalby

Tuesday 8 September - Bethel Farm - morning projects, afternoon cultural

Wednesday 9 September - Bethel Farm - morning projects, afternoon cultural

Thursday 10 September - Bethel Farm - morning projects, afternoon cultural

Friday 11 September - Depart Bethel Farm, Fly Bris ->Perth

Costs

(RAW Impact):

Registration Payment: $500 per participant

Trip Costs:  $990 per participant

Fundraising: $500 - teachers not required to fundraise

(John Forrest SC):

Flights: $TBC

NOTE: the total cost per student for this trip will be, $1490 + cost of flights paid for by parents, plus an additional $500 that will need to be fundraised by each student.

The providers of the camp, RAW Impact, will be attending the school on Tuesday 24 February to talk to the Year 9 and Year 10 students during form period to provide further information and detail what the camp is all about.

If you are interested in your child attending this opportunity, I would also encourage you to attend the Parent Information Evening happening on Tuesday 24 February at 6pm. This session will provide you with an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the trip.
