IPP STUDENTS GO ON A DAIRY DISCOVERY
On Thursday 14 June our Individual Pathway Program students visited Brownes Dairy in Balcatta. The students were taken on a curriculum linked tour of the Dairy - Australia's oldest and most established Dairy.
We asked a few students in IPP to write a summary of their day at Brownes Dairy, here is what they said:
"On Thursday we went to the dairy farm. We tasted yoghurt, strawberry, vanilla and blueberry. We did an experiment with food acid and yoghurt. We watched a video about how milk was made. I felt happy. I enjoyed the excursion." – Carla Bropho
"On Thursday I went on a trip to Brownes Dairy milk factory and experienced different yoghurts. I experienced different milks. I saw different factory areas and watched a video about how milk is produced in the Brownes Dairy milk factory." – Omar Hicks
On Thursday we went to Brownes. I milked a cow called Moo and tasted yoghurts. We had a bird's eye view of the factory floor. We watched a video about how milk was made. I saw people stacking milk in crates." – Samantha Cousemacker
Carla also gave us this joke, which we think is a good one.
- How do farmers count their cows?
- They use a cow-culator
