CRICKET ACADEMY DAY
Cricket Academy Day is an important day to our Cricket students. There are over 90 students from Year 7-12 in our College Specialist Cricket Program. With a number this large and Cricket matches only being played within each Year group there isn't much of an opportunity for all students to interact.
Through student discussion a few years back, Cricket Academy Day was established. This day brings all the students within the program together to take part in a variety of sports. Each team has a mix of students from all year groups. The Year 12 students take up the Captain role acting as mentors and leaders for the younger students. It's a fun day with lots of benefits all round.
This year the Cricket Academy Day was held on Thursday 21 June at Revo Sports, Shenton Park. The students cycled through a variety of sports, ending the day with a final for each sport. It was great to see all the students participating, working together and encouraging their teammates. Overall a great day and the students seemed to have really enjoyed themselves.
