RUSSELL STREET ART MURAL
Over the past nine weeks, Year 10 art students have been involved in producing a 60 metre wall mural that runs along Russell Street Park, a backdrop to the ninja-warrior style obstacle course. This is a community mural program to assist in space activation and is the biggest mural in the Morley area.
This mural is co-funded by the Water Corporation and the City of Bayswater and made possible by the artists at Studio 281. Our students worked alongside the Studio 281 artists, contributing to design of the mural and helping paint the spectacular artwork that is now on display.
The mural features native birds and plants often seen in the Bayswater wetlands and celebrates the City of Bayswater's connection to the Swan River. The colours are vibrant and the birds could almost fly right off the wall. It is a massive project and a lot of hard work has gone into making this possible. Well worth it!
A talented group of students. We are proud of the efforts of these students throughout every stage of this project.
