Outlook on a flying Future
During the April School Holidays Year 12 student Irene Roda was selected to participate in the Australian Defence Force's Flight Camp at RAAF Pearce. This four-day residential camp allowed participants to experience being part of the Officer Aviation group in the Air Force. The Officer Aviation group includes roles such as Air Force Fast Jet Pilot (FJP), Fix Winged Pilot (FWP), Mission Crew, Weapon System Officer (WSO), Maritime Patrol and Response Officer (MRPO), Air Battle Managers (ABM) and Air Traffic Controller (ATC).
For Irene this opportunity was an amazing experience that allowed her not only to learn a lot but also to help her decide on her future career path. To read a full account of Irene's experiences at the RAAF Pearce Flight Camp please click here.
