Students put Theory into Practice

During Week 3 of Term 4, Year 11 Certificate II in Retail Services students undertook work experience in retail industry placements. The students enjoyed a variety of retail environments, predominately with a food focus. This opportunity allowed the students to put the theory they have learned in class into practice and will satisfy the practical component of the qualification.

The students' feedback from the week was very positive with some commenting that they really enjoyed meeting new people and using their communication skills. When asked what classroom theoretical knowledge they utilised in the workplace, the students cited that learning correct manual handling skills was very valuable.
