Hats off to a swinging night
With house lights dimmed and stage lights bright, the Ellington Jazz Club turned up the volume on Monday 8 April for a fantastic night of music provided by the College's Music Students.
For the second year in a row select Years 8 to 12 students from the Chamber Choir, Swing Band, Jazz Band and Saxophone Quartet along with performances from Solo artists and small groups entertained the crowd with a variety of songs over two jam-packed sets.
A number of special guests also performed throughout the night. WAAPA Head of Jazz Piano Tom O'Halloran accompanied the Chamber Choir. 2018 JFSC Graduate Ruby Short returned and performed two numbers with her fellow WAAPA Music Theatre student Gus Noakes.
It was a night filled with great tunes and a lovely atmosphere which was enjoyed by both the audience and the performers.
