ECC Japanese Exchange Visit 2019
In Term 1 we hosted a group of 16 Japanese students from around Japan, who study conversational English at ECC. During College hours our visitors enjoyed a range of Australian high school experiences including Dance with Ms Yates, Cooking with Ms Martinelli, ESL, exchange and buddy lessons. Special thanks go to Ms Robinson's Tourism class who did an excellent job introducing the ECC students to our College according to their individual timetables. At the conclusion of the school program, all visitors participated in a raffle to receive something Australian to take home.
Out of school hours involved a variety of experiences with host families and a day trip to Rottnest Island.
The true success of any exchange is measured best by the degree of care demonstrated between those involved and the connections made. Tears were shed as our visitors were farewelled onto the bus giving a moving demonstration of the type of school community we have. Awesome! Many, many thanks to all family members involved; parents, buddy students, siblings and others. You are all wonderful.
