Camp hits the High Notes
Term 2 started with a bang for the JFSC Senior Music Students with an intensive 3-day music rehearsal camp. Members of the Chamber Choir, Swing Band, Senior Concert Band and Senior Classical Guitar Ensemble spent approximately 20 hours rehearsing in preparation for this year's concerts and festivals.
Students enjoyed a performance by Tom O'Halloran, Head of Jazz Piano at WAAPA, and a select number of the WAAPA Jazz students. Following this the students engaged in workshops with the WAAPA Performers, working on Jazz Performance Techniques and gaining an insight into a musical career beyond High School.
Camp was finished with a performance for families, allowing them to hear the progress the ensembles have made during camp.
Thank you once again to JFSC Chaplain Phil Glossop and Alistair Cummings for their wonderful help and support during camp.
