Rockingham Cricket Carnival 2019
At the beginning of November, the Year 9 Cricketers made the annual pilgrimage south to take part in the Rockingham Cricket Carnival for 2019. This year nine schools from across the south of WA competed in this mixed format event (50 over and T20 games). It was an enjoyable but tough competition with both wins and losses for the JFSC Team.
Game 1: JFSC v Baldivis Secondary College (T20)
Our Year 9 Cricketers started off the carnival with a win over Baldivis Secondary College (BSC). JFSC made 2/119 in 15 overs verses BSC who made 6/107.

Game 2: JFSC v Dalyellup College (T20)
The second game for the carnival didn't go our way with a close fought loss against Dalyellup College (DC) 2/104 to JFSC's 7/100. Dalyellup's bowling was too strong on the day with our side losing 7 wickets. Key batting performance was 43 not out by Cooper Hebbard.
Game 3: JFSC v Kent Street SHS Green (50 overs)
On day two of the carnival JFSC (9/144) batted out all their overs but lost to a strong Kent Street SHS (9/267) side. Key batting performances included Jack Buckingham (31), Sachin Suresh (33) and Ryan Skett (30).
