College Community Share's the Dignity
From September to November this year the College has been collecting items for Share the Dignity. Share The Dignity collects thousands of personal hygiene products every year for women experiencing homelessness and poverty.
Lead by the staff in the HASS Department, everyday items and little luxuries such as tampons, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, hair ties, hair brushes, lip balm, hand cream and non-metal nail files were collected with the aim of filling 20 bags.
We are very proud to announce that the amazing efforts of our students and staff well exceeded this goal and we collected a total 45 bags for Share the Dignity! These were delivered to Bunnings on Wednesday 27 November. If community members would like to make a donation these are being collected by participating Bunnings stores from Friday 22 November to Saturday 7 December. More information can be found at the Share the Dignity website.
Thank you to all who contributed to this amazing cause and we hope to continue to help women in need in the years to come.
