Students transcendence through Dance

On Friday 9 August Swan Park Theatre played host to the College's dance students as they performed in the annual dance showcase, this year entitled Transcendence.

According to the Collins Dictionary Transcendence is "the quality of being able to go beyond normal limits or boundaries " and the students definitely displayed this as they pushed themselves physically and creatively performing a variety of Hip-hop, Contemporary, Urban, Lyrical and Commercial Jazz genres. All performers from Years 9-12 showed passion, dedication and a willingness to always push themselves and improve their performance skills. John Forrest Alumni D.N.A were special guest performers, showcasing their talent and growth.

Special thanks to the JFSC Staff who assisted backstage and front of house on the night, students John Slabbert, Bermnett Njeri and Samantha Tappenden who assisted with filming and Tia Evans for editing the movie of the night's events. Biggest thanks to the College community for attending the performance and showing their ongoing support.
