Students tackle future water solutions
On Tuesday 27 August 2019 eight Year 9 and 10 students participated in the Water Corporation's WA Schools Think Tank Challenge at the City of Bayswater. They joined eight other school teams to tackle the question of "How can Perth become a leading waterwise city by 2030?".
The day commenced with presentations on water management in Western Australia. From here teams had to research and develop an innovative solution to the question "How can Perth become a leading waterwise city by 2030?". At the end of the day students presented their solution to members of the City of Bayswater, Water Corp representatives and the teams from the other schools. Three teams were then selected to advance to the final pitch presentation being held at the Water Corporation during National Water Week in October.
The College is very proud to announce that our students were one of the top three teams at the City of Bayswater session and will be advancing to the final pitch in October. Congratulations and all the best to these students as they develop their ideas and polish their presentations.
