Year 11s Research Health Expo

On Wednesday 15 May the Year 11 Health Studies classes travelled to Cyril Jackson Senior Campus to view their annual Health Festival. This was an enlightening day as students observed the many stalls and activities on offer. The aim is to apply ideas gained to the JFSC Health Expo 2020 which these students will be responsible for running.

Be welcoming and don't stay quiet. Always be able to answer questions. – Kyle Stockham

Learning about different information and learning skills for a healthy life and it gave a lot of different ideas for the future expo. I would do something that allows other students the learn different information that is also entertaining. – Mia Giannagostino

Include fun games and information for students to be aware on how to take care of their mental and physical health. – Daphne Evangelista

I liked the fact that there was a wide range of stalls there and that you could learn lots of new information about things you are interested in. – Jazmyn Cole

I liked that they had a lot of practical activities like they would make you answer a question to get a prize. They also had food and a lot of other things to do. – James Dooley

I found it interesting how you could gain so much information in such a short amount of time. It also intrigued me how many stalls there actually were there. I would consider replicating the sexual health or mental health stall. This is due to these being a major part in a teenager's life and many have little to no information about these topics. – Zoe Hatherley.
