Year 7 Enrichment shake it with the nation

On Wednesday 22 May the Year 7 Enrichment Class participated in the National Simultaneous Storytime 2019. This annual event was run by the Australian Library and Information Association with schools and Libraries nationwide all reading the same book at the same time.

This year the book Alpacas with Maracas by Matt Cosgrove took centre stage with JFSC Librarian Mrs Nye reading the book to the class. The book took students through a fantastic journey of friendship, persistence, self-confidence and finding success in one’s own strengths and participating rather than winning. Students also had a great time finding all the rhyming words throughout the book and writing them on the board.
