Hands on Science for Year 8s
During Term 2 the Year 8 Enrichment students have been focusing on the field of Biological Science during Science classes.
Students examined cells and organisms under the microscopes with Mrs Vale, as well as comparing and contrasting digestive systems of reptiles and human beings in groups.
On Tuesday 25 June these Biological Science studies culminated in an excursion to the Western Australian Reptile Park in Henley Brook.
Students enjoyed the excursion and gained an appreciation for the environment we share with reptiles and other native animals to Australia.
Thank you to all the staff who attended the excursion and helped to make it a very enjoyable day.
The reptile park is amazing. You should go visit, you will have the best time. – Lily Albu
The reptile park was so fun and amazing that I wish we could go there again. The snakes and lizards were fun to hold. Thank you reptile park – Casey-Lee Crawford
The reptile park was really amazing and fun. I think it’s better than the zoo because you can hold animals and you can touch them and have fun. I wish we could go there again and hold the snake and lizards. Thank you reptile park. – Aaliyah Koha
