Year 11s unlock the secrets of Yagan Square
At the beginning of April, the Year 11 Certificate II in Tourism students travelled into the Perth CBD to discover Yagan Square and other tourism aspects of the Perth CBD.
The Tour started with Yagan Square's Digital Tower lighting up with the JFSC logo welcoming the students. From here students took a tour of the square with GoCultural: Aboriginal Tours and Experiences tour where they learnt about the local areas Aboriginal Culture and History and how it has been portrayed in the area's current reincarnation as Yagan Square. Students were then taken through the different commercial and social aspects of the facility that cater for all ages. Students were shown behind the scenes to see how waste is managed to make the least impact on the environment.
Students also took a short walking tour of the city where they visited the WA Visitor Information Centre, London Court, the I-City Information Centre and the Margaret River Chocolate Company.
