American Artist Georgia O'Keeffe Inspires Art Club Students
Capably led by Year 7 Masterclass students Mollie Pearce and Ava Luckraft and supported by Scholar-in-Residence Miss Kayla Jenkin, Art Club students have created a wonderful array of floral art inspired by the work of American artist Georgia O'Keeffe. Born in 1887 and best known for her paintings of flowers and desert landscapes, O'Keeffe painted nature in a way that showed how it made her feel. Just like O'Keeffe, students selected flowers that personally resonated and used a range of vibrant colours and simplified shapes to create their flowers in oil pastels. Stay tuned for more amazing art in Term 4 from the students in Art Club!
