Year 7s jump into High School
During week 1 this term the Year 7 students complete a week long Induction Program and Peer Support sessions to introduce them to life as a high school student.
During the Induction Program students participated in a variety of workshops including a College campus and Library tours, Planner use, Digital Citizenship, Intro to IT, Note Taking, Academic Honesty, Study Timetable, Integrity and Goal Setting.
These workshops were interspersed with four Peer Support sessions run by Year 11 student leaders. The Peer Support sessions helped to provide the Year 7 students with communication, self-confidence and leadership skills as well as giving them the opportunity to relate to their peers in a way that is effective, comfortable and promoted self-esteem.
