Year 8 Enrichment Students advance their understanding of Land-Forms
During term 1, students in the Year 8 Enrichment class were given several options of demonstrating their understanding of land-forms and how communities interconnect with the environment to improve liveability.
Students were given the task of creating ‘Simulation Island’ which included a major city, port, farms, forests, towns that supported either tourism or fishing, and natural land-forms such as rivers, beaches, harbours and a volcano.
Students chose different methods of communicating their understanding from using 3-D paint applications to hand crafted models. We look forward to what next year’s enrichment class can create.
“I love doing arts and crafts so that’s why I made it. My life goal to craft things edible or non-edible. I learnt how the tectonic plates move and form” - Abbey (Year 8 Enrichment Student)
