NAIDOC Week 2021
Rain, hail, sunshine or a global pandemic couldn't prevent students at JFSC celebrating NAIDOC Week 2021. Rescheduled from Term 2, students celebrated NAIDOC Week by participating in a variety of activities throughout the first week of August.
Celebrations kicked off with lunchtime activities of face painting, followed by braiding of both wool and raffia.
Thursday students and staff competed in a lunchtime game of Marngrook, a form of football originally played by the Indigenous people across the South East of Australia.
The week concluded with a lunchtime celebration of a Kangaroo Sausage Sizzle with indigenous music playing across the school.
Thank you to Mrs Carter, Mr Kendall, Mrs Wray, Ms McFerran, Mr Glossop and Mr Faletti and the HPE learning area for making the week such an amazing success.
