Students engage in stem cell research
On Friday 17 September, the Year 11 ATAR Human Biology students spent the day at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research engaging in all things stem cells.
The students worked and engaged with research scientists at Harry Perkins who guided them through isolating liver stem cells and growing organoids in a PC2 lab. Students took ‘CELL-FIES’ with their cell cultures and played the Stem Cell Differentiation game.
Overall, an exCELLent day!
