Engineering Club enthralled by glass blowing demonstration
As part of Science Week (11-18 August), the theme of which is Glass this year, the Engineering Club had a demonstration on Wednesday 3 August of Glass Blowing by Mal Parry of Glass Evolutions.
Mal started with a demonstration of scientific glass blowing showing how it can be used to build scientific equipment. Joining glass pieces together and bending glass tubes to create equipment.
He then went on to show how glass blowing can also be used to create pieces of art, making a clownfish for us, and making a coloured marble for Mr Vinciullo's STEM class for their Rube Goldberg Machine.
Thank you to Mal Parry for introducing students to the amazing world of glass blowing and sharing your knowledge and expertise.
