Student Achievements
The College would like to congratulate the following students on their recent achievements:
- Leon Lam (Year 10) who completing work experience at Woodside Energy's Robotics Lab and Karlak during the spring school holidays.
- Sienna Millar (Year 11) who became the Australian Junior Muaythai Champion for her division at a recent MTA National Competition in Queensland
- Milla Butler (Year 7) who was selected and competed in the U12 SSWA Soccer team for the National School Sports competition in October.
- Kray Gregory (Year 9) who competed in the World Championships (wresting) in Rome. They were also the first U17 to represent Australia at the World Championships.
- Jock Parkinson (Year 11) who competed in the SSWA Athletics Championships and came away with 1 Bronze, 1 Silver and 4 Gold! Since this Jock has also competed in the U17 State Multi Heptathlon (winning Gold) and represented WA at the National Athletics Championships in Adelaide (winning Bronze for U17 Shot Put).
- Sam McLaughlin (Year 9) who took out four national awards at this year's QuestaGame 2022 DAF Hermitage Research Facility Schools Plant Science Competition.
- Mitchell White (Year 10) who won the Lacrosse Western Australia Best and Fairest Award for the U15's competition and captained The Northern Thunder to runner's up in the recent National U15's Lacrosse Championships.
- Veronica Keen (Year 10) who, following her career in community and premier league cricket, has recently debuted in the Midland Guildford Cricket Clubs A-Grade Women's Cricket Team and also been selected for the WA State U16 Cricket Team who will be competing in Canberra in January 2023. Veronica has also had a very successful year in Lacrosse - playing for the U18 WA State Girls Lacrosse team in Adelaide in July 2022, being nominated by Lacrosse WA for WA Junior Sportsperson of the Year, awarded Lacrosse WA's U17 Fairest and Best, and received Bayswater's U17 Girls Fairest and Best and Runner-up Fairest and Best for the State Women's League.
- Jackson Wheldon (Year 11) who was awarded his Gold medal on Friday night at the 2022 WorldSkills WA region VETIS Carpentry Competition. This is an amazing achievement. The College wishes you all the best with your plans to compete in the apprenticeship division next year.
- Adam York (Year 10) who achieved a Certificate II in Hospitality through a school-based traineeship.
- Caitlin Jeffries (Year 10) who competed in the WA State Championships, taking a first in all dances she competed in (Ballroom, Latin and New Vogue) and winning the Junior Championship title
