Girls in STEM Careers Café 2024
We had the opportunity to host our Girls in STEM Careers Café, where our students had the opportunity to network and gain insight through meaningful conversations and presentations by inspiring women in STEM industries.
The morning started with Jessica Morrison, Exploratory Geologist at IGO Ltd and our Girls in STEM Ambassador, share her pathway to her industry and experiences in her role.
Our guests held multiple networking sessions with our curious students, as they had the opportunity to ask and gain sight to the various STEM professions.
We also had Associate Professor, Dr. Parwinder Kaur, Director of the DNA Zoo Australia, Dr Beatrice Scicchitano, WACHS and St John of God Public and Private Midland, and Dr. Maria Kovaleva, Lecturer with the Curtin Institute of Radio Astronomy, Curtin University, share inspiring stories of their experiences that have led them to their STEM careers and role-related experiences.
Along with our key speakers, we would also like to thank Ashley Rogers, Jilly-Anne O'Brien, Jasmine Paterson, Namishka Mendonca, Caite Donovan, Dr Christine Hansen, Sophie Dream, Emily Scanlan, Dom Blanke, Erika Teng Gui, Dr Penelope Strauss, Dr Jess Reynolds, Lisa Bayakly, and Emma Pearce for taking the time to network and share their advice and ambitions with our aspiring students.
