On Country Bendigo Bank Pitch

On Monday 4th May 2026 we saw a group of adventurous Year 10 students take on the responsibility of representing the 2026 JFSC On Country Team against people from various local community organisations and schools to pitch for a share of $50,000 that was on offer thanks to the Bendigo Bank Community Grants Program.

Think - something along the lines of the TV show "Shark Tank".

Their pitch centred around how providing the 2026 On Country Team with a grant to cover travel costs would result in increased knowledge of Indigenous culture, knowledge, and leadership, that they will bring back to the local area and share with others, benefitting the community.

The team, consisting of Harper, Abigail, Makayla and Niamh, presented the pitch with a level of professionalism, commitment and passion that saw a grant of $5,000 promised!

Congratulations girls, well done!
