Building Connections with Our Community
We are delighted to welcome Sergeant Evan Damianopoulos, the newly appointed Community and Youth Engagement Coordinator for the Mirrabooka Police District, who will be visiting our school regularly throughout the year.
Last week, Sergeant Damianopoulos joined students and staff at our P&C sponsored Breakfast Club, taking the opportunity to meet students and engage in friendly conversations in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
With more than 37 years of service in the Western Australia Police Force, Sergeant Damianopoulos brings a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for building strong, positive relationships within the community. Working in partnership with local schools, connecting with students through open and supportive discussions designed to build trust, encourage understanding, and address common misconceptions about policing.
These visits provide a valuable opportunity for students and staff to engage with police in a positive and approachable way, helping to strengthen relationships, foster mutual respect, and build confidence within our school community.
We look forward to continuing our partnership with Sergeant Damianopoulos and the Mirrabooka Police District as we work together to support the wellbeing and success of our students.
