Year 9/10 Lightning Carnival

The year 9/10 Lightning Carnival was held on the 7^th of May. Our basketball team had a great carnival, finishing second in our pool. We just missed out on progressing to the finals.

A highlight was defeating the eventual grand final winners, Mount Lawley, by 20 points during pool play. Mount Lawley went on to win the whole competition, so that result was a standout performance from our students on the day.

We had 6 floorball teams who played well and scraped into the finals with two teams in 5^th and 6^th place. Those two teams went on to win every game in the final bracket for it to be a John Forrest vs John Forrest Grand Final with our blue team winning the overall competition!

In the soccer we had one of our year 9 teams finish 3^rd in the competition and our year 10 team finish 4^th overall. The year 9s beat the year 10s in the 3^rd vs 4^th playoff match.
