Year 7/8 Netball Camp 2021
Year 7 and 8 Netball students departed the College on Wednesday 1 Dec for the annual Woodman Point Camp in Coogee.
On the way to camp students visited Cockburn ARC where they played a scratch match against Atwell College. After lunch at Woodman Point students participated in a full afternoon program of activities including Flying Fox and a Coastal Bike Ride. In the evening students were tested at a Sports Quiz Night.
On Thursday morning students played in a mini tournament against Rockingham SHS at Mike Barnett Indoor Sports Centre, then enjoyed lunch and a swim at the Rockingham foreshore. The evening activity was a movie with a complementary serve of Popcorn of course!
Friday (the third day of camp) is always reserved for the beach. Students were involved in kayaking and snorkelling at Point Peron. The crystal-clear waters at Point Peron beach always make for a great day on the water.
The Netball games were closely contested against both Atwell College and Rockingham SHS with our Year 8 Team 1 having the edge over their Atwell and Rockingham opponents. Well done everyone.
Congratulations on a great camp. You are wonderful ambassadors for John Forrest SC and our Netball Program. Happy Holidays!
