2023 ANZAC Day Assembly

The John Forrest ANZAC assembly was held on Thursday 6 April 2023.
This important event on the College calendar was enhanced by the outdoor setting and exemplary student behaviour.

Special guests included

• Councillor Filomena Piffaretti, Mayor of the City of Baywater
• Mr Russell Shearing-Jones, Secretary of Bedford-Morley RSL
• Ms Samantha Peet from the John Forrest P&C committee

Chris Watters who served in East Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan gave the keynote address which highlighted the impact of war on soldiers' families.

The chamber choir's haunting singing and senior band playing the Australian and New Zealand national anthems added to the gravitas of the occasion.

Thank you to the staff and students that contributed to this memorable experience.
