2023 Herbert Edwards and Slazenger Cups
Specialist Tennis students farewelled summer in spectacular fashion by competing in the Hebert Edwards and Slazenger Cups during Weeks 6 and 7 Term 1. Over 13 different schools participated in the Sunsmart Schools Tennis Classic events over the 2 weeks. The events, sponsored by Sunsmart and organised by Tennis West, displayed a very high level of tennis being played across all schools.
All students showed respect and integrity on the day, playing to the best of their ability, whilst displaying great sportsmanship towards every other school. Well done to all those selected to participate.

Herbert Edwards Cup
Thursday 9 March 2023 – Year 7-9 Boys teams came second in their division pool.
Friday 9 March 2023 – Year 7-9 Girls teams came second in their division pool.
Slazenger Cup
Thursday 16 March 2023 – Year 10-12 Girls teams. Claudia Velkovska led the John Forrest Girls team into a semi-finals match against Mercedes College to fight it out for the Mursell Shield. They ended up losing in a series of close matches.
Friday 17 March 2023 – Year 10-12 Boys teams. Best placement was third in their division. Year 10 Cruz Remi also won a Rebel Sports Voucher for his dedication to being sun smart.
