Career Taster provides Reel Insight

Lights! Camera! Action!

Year 9 students attended North Metro TAFE on Monday 19 June for a taste of the film and television industry as part of the Reel Thing Career Taster program.

Students created a music Quiz Program, similar to Spicks and Specks. They were involved in all aspects of the production- cameras, floor managing, directing, sound and audio and presenting.

With the new film studio opening in Malaga in the next few years, the job opportunities in this industry are going to grow and the Year 9s who participated in this program have already proven themselves to have a lot of talent.
