Mixed Tape

At the end of Term 3 our dance students put on a wonderful performance during their showcase, Mixed Tape.
The evening was filled with energy and grace, as each performance displayed dedication to the arts and love for dance.

It was also fantastic to see our students love of dance come full circle, with our alumni students returning to assist, moderate and choreograph for our dance classes. Luke Taylor, 2023 graduate alongside Niyati Narula, Caitlyn Jeffries and Micah Santos 2024 graduates, along with the OG Denzel Mahusay, all played a part in Mixed Tape, sharing their creativity. And this year also saw current students also take on leadership roles and step into choreography for their classes. Mixed Tape celebrated the talents of Matilda T., Citra Z., Nya Y., Sim K., Shanaya B., Tayla O., Mia T., Ebony O.-C., Emily S., Reiane D., Princess D. T. and Ben S..

Great job JFSC dancers!

Reviews of Mixed Tape

The Mixed Tape Dance Showcase was on fire. - Tane B.

JFSC is proud of the arts….and it showed during Mixed Tape. - Abbey A.

The Dance Showcase was an amazing success. I really enjoyed performing with my friends and watching the performances by other classes. I can’t wait for next year’s event! - Erin McN.

The Dance Showcase was the best two nights! I love being able to perform in front of my family and friends - Ava T.

The Dance program at JFSC is a hidden GEM! I was not expecting stunning performances, which were so well choreographed- Just beautiful. I have seen a number of 'dance' school performances, and this was by far the best I have seen. My daughter has never danced before, and she was brilliant. The students were professional, respectful and appeared very high in ability- Too be honest, I am not sure what competitions you enter, but the standard of Dance I am interested to see what competitions you enter and where that takes the students. A number of your senior school dancers were beyond good- and if they are studying ATAR Dance, I would love to know how they go. I was so impressed. What a great bunch of students you have at JFSC. You could see the friendship between the students and the guidance from your Senior School student made the school feel that students are safe and caring. Just WOW! And Thank you. - Lisa James

The JFSC Dance Showcase is always a highlight of the school year and 2025 was their usual high standard. The dancers are talented and very professional and the music was great. They kept up the pace from start to finish and packed the entertainment in to every minute. Even the crowd was all in, the whole atmosphere was electric! This was our 6th and final Dance Showcase and we've loved every one. Well done JFSC Dance Dept and thanks for all the wonderful memories!! - Jo Turley

Mixed Tape! My 6th dance showcase that I’ve watched at JF! It certainly didn’t disappoint. Amazing energy and dedication shown by all students! Lovely to see a variety of dance genres. Impressed with the younger years too. Great mix of solos, duos, troupes and class performances. Well done to everyone involved. Thoroughly enjoyed it. - Lydia Taylor
